Minister for Sport, Gerry Sutcliffe, was on campus with the Chancellor, Brendan Foster CBE, to announce that Leeds Met Carnegie has won the competition to become the home of the UK Centre for Coaching Excellence in sport and disability sport. The centre aims to establish the leading coaching system in the world by the 2016 Olympic Games.
